Wimbledon does not lose any detail thanks to EVS technology

EVS will provide the numerous broadcasters that will cover the Wimbledon tournament, including the BBC, with all the technology that will allow them to manage for the first time a 3D workflow of the popular tennis tournament.

In collaboration with IMG Media and Timeline Tv, EVS solutions will provide, among other material, instant access to the archive of the last four tournaments.

Based on IP Director, with a total of sixty terminals, and 16 EVS HD

Each set played will be recorded in IPDirector in combination with all live statistical information, shots of player actions between each set and close-ups of the crowd reaction. The EVS system will also be directly linked to the Wimbledon scoring system, giving producers instant access to statistics. Producers and editors will use the IPDirector terminals to find action, edit material or send it directly to the EVS servers for broadcast.

Several EVS servers have also been installed on units deployed by NEP Visions who will be responsible for the stereographic production of the tournament.
