Next Friday, July 8, is 3D day on Canal+. It will be the first time that a television channel broadcasts 24 hours of programming in 3D and it does so with a wide range of content from all genres: the best sporting events, spectacular concerts, film premieres, short films and ambitious documentaries. In this way, Canal+ continues its commitment to technological development and to offering its customers the best technical features.
Digital+ is a pioneer in Spain in the broadcast of 3D content through the Canal+ 3D events channel (dial 129). So far, sporting events (football, NBA...), bullfighting (San Isidro bullfight) and musicals (Violadores del verso) have been held live and in 3D, and cinema films have been broadcast on a delayed basis (Avatar, Alice in Wonderland), concerts (Búnbury and Alejandro Sanz on their Paraíso Tour) and documentaries (bull and bullfighter).
To watch programming in 3D it is necessary to have an iPlus terminal and a television prepared for the new technology.
3D programming will include movies: How to Train Your Dragon, Airbender: The Last Warrior, Shrek, Happily Ever After, Clash of the Titans y Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs; documentaries: The conquest of the cane toads y bull and bullfighter; short films: I love, Ed, Hambuster y It works; Concerts: Violadores del verso and Alejandro Sanz Paraíso Tour; sport: Augusta Masters and NBA: East – West All Star Weekend; and Cinema X: Penthouse Porno.
