The journalist rejoins TVE after assuming the Directorate of the Communication Office of the General Council of the Judiciary

The new news director of TVE, Begoña Alegría, completes its management team with the appointment of Cristina Ónega as new director of Canal 24 Horas, replacing Álvaro Zancajo.

Born in Madrid in 1975, Cristina Ónega Salcedo has a degree in Journalism from the San Pablo CEU University. She began her professional career in RTVE's Information Services in 1997, precisely in the Channel to which she now returns as director, 24 Horas.

In 1999 he became part of the editorial staff of the TVE News News in the Politics area and for thirteen years he was in charge of the information of the News Courts. She was awarded by the Madrid Bar Association. In addition, the Madrid Press Association awarded him the Larra Prize for the best journalistic work carried out by a professional under 30 years of age.

In 2012 she was appointed head of the National area of ​​TVE and in January 2014, director of the Communication Office of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ). During this time he has been part, among other initiatives, of the Transparency Group of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and has been in charge of coordinating the Communication Offices of the Supreme Court, the National Court and the Superior Courts of Justice.
