Panasonic launches the 30 Series of plasma displays
The new models have a 3D function and, with reduced consumption, are designed for use in presentations, digital signage, visualization and design.
Panasonic has announced the launch of its 30 series of plasma screens, which replace the 20 series. The new range includes 42”, 50”, 60” and 65” models, which have a 3D function, are resistant and energy efficient. They are ideal for use in presentations, digital signage, display and design, as well as home theater applications.
Panasonic incorporates the new 60" size to its professional line. With the constant increase in the market trend towards larger screen sizes and a very competitive sales price, the new 60" model is expected to be very successful upon its launch.
Of the models
The new series has two types of models, PH and PF, to cover the variety of applications of medium and large format screens. The PF30 models are 3D ready with dual HD-SDI and DVI-D panels that enable simultaneous 3D input. It includes 42”, 50”, 60” and 65” screens, all with a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, high luminous efficiency to deliver precise, high-contrast images and a wide viewing angle, essential features for signage or design applications, as well as for home theater. High-resolution motion pictures recreate fast-moving scenes that are clear, precise and trail-free. Each display comes equipped with “Slot 2.0” function ports to support various digital interfaces.
The PH30 models have been designed to significantly reduce electrical consumption compared to previous models. The 42” screen, for example, consumes 35% less energy than its predecessor in the 20 series (reducing consumption from 275w to 175w) and the 50% screen consumes 30% less.
Each of Panasonic's professional displays are now part of the Offset for Life initiative, which allows customers to offset the carbon emitted by the use of their displays. By joining this non-profit program and purchasing credits, Panasonic will invest on behalf of the user in Golden Standard projects, those that make the most significant contribution to the sustainable development of the local communities in which the projects are carried out.
