Riedel's MediorNet Compact debuts at IBC

Riedel Communications will present at IBC, for the first time in Europe, MediorNet Compact, the first 50 G multimedia solution with WDM integration.

Riedel Communications will present at IBC, for the first time in Europe, MediorNet Compact, the first 50 G multimedia solution with WDM integration. It represents the first step in the range of MediorNet solutions for distribution integration and signal processing.

Fiber-based provides a real-time media network, integrating integrated signal processing at the cost of any point-to-point product.

With a network bandwidth of 50 Gbps, MediorNet Compact provides high capacity bi-directional transport of 12 HD-SDI signals, dozens of MADI streams or GBit-Ethernet signals and hundreds of audio or intercom channels. An ideal solution for mobile units, studio or live events.

Furthermore, the new member of the MediorNet family is fully compatible with the rest of the solutions in the range.

It is noteworthy that integrated signal processing is available on each port: frame store synchronizer, embedded and de-embedded, test generator, on-screen display, time code insertion...

At IBC 2011, Riedel will also showcase its revolutionary video transport solution that facilitates redundant satellite links. Additionally, Riedel will introduce a new intercom product that promises to redefine the way wired communications are carried out.
