Eurocom: Comprehensive project management ... to have everything under control

Eurocom Broadcast, a company specialized in the professional television and Broadcast sector, will go to the International Audiovisual Technology Hall, Broadcast It 2011, to publicize its latest projects under a new brand image, the main novelties of its brands represented and its intelligent solutions for the sector.

Beyond marketing “boxes” and with extensive experience in this area and formed by a group of professionals in the telecommunications sector, Eurom It has been characterized by offering a comprehensive service very close to its client integrating systems guaranteeing the interconnection between all elements and signals. Spain, Latin America and now other emerging markets such as Africa have found in Eurocom the perfect partner to carry out even the most ambitious projects.

To guarantee a total control of each principle and end project, Eurocom, which will go to Broadcast It 2011 with a renewed image, will show its new management system in IFEMA.

This proposal allows to supervise by the different departments involved in each phase, as well as remotely by the client itself, the state in which the work is located.

Large television chains, transmission operators, producers and communication groups are already benefiting from this system that allows managers and engineers to carry out thoroughly monitoring the project progress, thus being able to carry out modifications or last minute improvements, having at the same time under control the delivery deadlines.

Brands Represented

As for its extensive catalog of teams of national and international manufacturers, in Broadcast we will see, among other novelties, the HD/SD-SDI laptop monitor LV5330 of Leader. Given its lightness, it can even be mounted on an ENG camera for those works that require a more precise monitoring. On the screen it can show waveform, vector, audio ... The instrument is also equipped with measurement functions on image, such as Cinelite and Cinezone, helping to facilitate that the measures that are easily understandable.

Similar to LV5330, but in this case for desktop and rack is the LV 7330. For stereoscopic applications, the 3D signal analyzer stands out, with an eye diaphragm, LV7380, while for mobile units, since it occupies very little space and can analyze up to four signals at the same time, the LV5381 stands out.

In high range, we find the modular waveform monitor LV5800. The advantage of this team is precisely its modularity since with the help of external cards you can work, as desired, with DVI-I, Dolby E, Pal-NSC, Asi-Mpeg, Eye Jitter SD/HD, SDI, 3G ... and up to 2K for cinematographic applications.

Carbonite

One of the Eurocom stand stars will be the new carbonite mixer of Ross Video. It is a mixer with 1 or 2 that already appeared in NAB and that has begun to be marketed last July having sold until the end of August about 150 units.

Starting from the premise of having the production potential of a large mixer but in an average size, Ross Video now has this switcher equipped with the multi-definition production engine that offers the same processing and performance power as its “older brothers” as the popular Vision series but in reduced size.

Among its characteristics, the possibility of producing with 2 Mle’s stands out. Each MLE has four powerful Keyers and Luma, Chroma and DVE Key as well as a fifth keyer for Curtains and DVE transitions animated. Each mle can access two Chroma Key Advanced Ultrachrome. The Carbonite series will also have two pattern generators per MLE for curtains, color settings and model masks. Each mle provides a clean output source.

Carbonite also includes a Gui based on multi-user Browser instantly accessible from Mac or PC or even iPad. The user graphic interface offers comprehensive management of the graphics from the medium -store as well as switcher settings control and access to remote operations. Carbonite has four media-store channels and can load graphics or animated logos from a simple USB. Media-Store can also be managed through Ethernet through graphic tools based on carbonite Browser.

An advantage of Ross mixers, including the new carbonite, is its direct interface (via Ethernet) with the 2D/3D Xpression graphic solution, which can also be seen in action in the Eurocom Days. Xpression allows the creation and playout of graphics at the same time, with easy integration of external data sources (from RSS to Google Maps maps ...) assimilating information in real time and integrating it with the rest of the graphic layers.

Teranex

For Simulated 3D or Pseudo 3D, the Teranex VC100 that Eurocom will exhibit on Broadcast, allows to transform any 2D signal into real time. Until now, this team complemented with several software solutions had been working for the positive stereoscopic axis. Now it also offers the possibility of working with the negative axis further enhancing the feeling of depth.

The VC100 is a team for everything. From conversion of more than 250 formats and frame rate to frame synchronization, coding, decoding, conversion and, of course, 3D simulation from any source.

Its double channel architecture is ideal for stereoscopic processing, and thanks to its re-programable processors it will be possible to easily evolve as 3D specifications are advanced (SOFTWARE VIA SETTING AND ONLINE UPDATE).

Teranex already has in the market with the options VC1-2D-3D (generation of 3D stereoscopic signals from 2D content), coding and decoding option in 3D with option VC1-3D-ENC and VC1-3D-DEC. At the end of this year, the launch of the VC1-3DTK application that will include 3D synchronization is planned to ensure a perfect time coupling in the flow signal of the left and law. The VC1-3DTK option will offer horizontal or vertical flip, movement with horizontal and vertical pixel, axial rotation, color correction and adjustment of all video parameters to accurately match the signs from the right and left cameras.

On the other hand, Eurocom will exhibit in its space in IFEMA the new matrices cougar of weight. The Cougar Video/Audio Combo (VAC) system for 32 × 32 3G-SDI with AES/EBU or analog audio is easy to install and grant in reduced facilities a powerful system for router, audio and video control. Each COUGAR VAC supports up to 32 × 32 (video) and 64 × 64 (mono audio) in just 2 RU. To simplify the control, each system includes a very intuitive panel of 32 buttons. Cougar VCA supports thus, SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI for a wide transport range of digital video signals up to 1080p/60. Audio compatibilities include AES/EBU, analog audio, Madi and Time Code, all within a distributed system.
