Eurocom: comprehensive project management to have everything under control

Eurocom Broadcast, a company specialized in the professional television and broadcast sector, will attend the International Audiovisual Technology Show, Broadcast IT 2011, to present its latest projects, the main innovations of its represented brands and its intelligent solutions for the sector under a new brand image.

Beyond marketing “boxes” and with extensive experience in this field and formed by a group of professionals from the telecommunications sector, Eurocom has been characterized by offering a comprehensive service very close to its client, integrating systems guaranteeing the interconnection between all elements and signals. Spain, Latin America and now other emerging markets such as Africa have found in Eurocom the perfect partner to carry out even the most ambitious projects.

To guarantee total control of each project from beginning to end, Eurocom, which will attend Broadcast IT 2011 with a renewed image, will show its new management system at IFEMA.

This proposal allows the different departments involved in each phase to be monitored, as well as remotely by the client themselves, the status of the work.

Large television networks, transmission operators, production companies and communication groups are already benefiting from this system that allows managers and engineers to exhaustively monitor the progress of the project, thus being able to carry out last-minute modifications or improvements, while having delivery times under control.

Brands represented

Regarding its extensive catalog of equipment from national and international manufacturers, at Broadcast we will see, among other new features, the LV5330 portable HD/SD-SDI monitor-analyzer from Leader. En pantalla puede mostrar forma de onda, vector, audio… El instrumento también está equipado con funciones de medición sobre imagen, como Cinelite y Cinezone, ayudando a facilitar que las medidas que sean fácilmente comprensibles.

Similar al LV5330, pero en este caso para sobremesa y rack es el LV 7330. Para aplicaciones estereoscópicas destaca el analizador de señales 3D, con diafragma de ojo, LV7380, mientras que para unidades móviles, ya que ocupa muy poco espacio pudiendo analizar hasta cuatro señales a la par, sobresale el LV5381.

At the high end, we find the LV5800 modular waveform monitor. Carbonite

One of the stars of the Eurocom stand will be the new Carbonite mixer from Ross Video. It is a mixer with 1 or 2 ME that was already presented at NAB and that began to be marketed last July, having sold around 150 units until the end of August.

Among its features, the possibility of producing with 2 MLE's stands out. Each MLE features four powerful keyers and luma, chroma and DVE keying as well as a fifth keyer for animated DVE transitions and wipes. Each MLE will be able to access two UltraChrome advanced chroma keys. The Carbonite series will also have two MLE pattern generators for curtains, color adjustments and model masks. Carbonite also includes a multi-user browser-based GUI instantly accessible from Mac or PC or even iPad. The graphical user interface offers comprehensive graphics management from the Media-Store as well as control of switcher settings and access to remote operations. Carbonite has four Media-Store channels and can load animated graphics or logos from a simple USB. The Media-Store can also be managed over Ethernet via Carbonite's browser-based graphical tools.

An advantage of Ross's mixers, including the new Carbonite, is its direct interface (via Ethernet) with the 2D/3D Xpression graphics solution, which can also be seen in action at the Eurocom Days. Xpression allows the creation and playout of graphics at the same time, with easy integration of external data sources (from RSS to Google Maps...) assimilating the information in real time and integrating it with the rest of the graphic layers.

Teranex

Para 3D simulado o pseudo 3D , el Teranex VC100 que Eurocom exhibirá en Broadcast, permite transformar cualquier señal 2D en 3D en tiempo real. Hasta ahora, este equipo complementado con varias soluciones de software venía trabajando con maestría el eje estereoscópico positivo. Ahora también ofrece la posibilidad de trabajar con el eje negativo realzando aún más la sensación de profundidad.

El VC100 es un equipo para todo. Desde conversión de más de 250 formatos y frame rate a la sincronización de frame, codificación, decodificación, conversión y, por supuesto, simulación 3D desde cualquier fuente.

Teranex already has the VC1-2D-3D options on the market (stereoscopic 3D signal generation from 2D content), 3D encoding and decoding option with the VC1-3D-ENC and VC1-3D-DEC options. Later this year, the VC1-3DTK application is scheduled for release and will include 3D synchronization to ensure perfect timing coupling of the left and right eye signal streams. The VC1-3DTK option will offer horizontal or vertical flip, horizontal and vertical pixel-precise panning, axial rotation, color correction, and adjustment of all video parameters to precisely match signals from the left and right cameras.

On the other hand, Eurocom will exhibit Pesa's new Cougar matrices in its space at IFEMA. The Cougar Video/Audio Combo (VAC) system for 32x32 3G-SDI with AES/EBU or analog audio is easy to install and provides a powerful system for router, audio and video control in small installations. Each Cougar VAC supports up to 32x32 (video) and 64x64 (mono audio) in just 2 RUs. To simplify control, each system includes a highly intuitive 32-button panel. Cougar VCA supports ASI, SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI for a wide range of digital video signal transport up to 1080p/60. Audio compatibilities include AES/EBU, analog audio, MADI and time code, all within a distributed system.
