Víctor Calvo-Sotelo will be the new Secretary of State for Telecommunications
The son of the former president of the Leopoldo-Sotelo government and current director of the Cabinet of Studies of the Presidency of the Popular Party, will be problastly the new Secretary of State for Telecommunications.
Victor María Calvo-Sotelo Ibáñez-Martín, son of the former president of the Government Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo and current director of the Cabinet of Studies of the Presidency of the Popular Party, will be, according to reports Europa Press, the new Secretary of State for Telecommunications.
In this way, Calvo-Sotelo will join the team led by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, which Alfonso Beltrán García-Echaniz, current general director of the Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving (IDAE), as the new Secretary of Energy State will also be added.
Born in Madrid in 1961, Victor María Calvo-Sotelo was undersecretary of the Ministry of Development between 1996 and 2000, during the first government of José María Aznar, being Rafael Arias Salgado Minister of Development, and between 2003 and 2004 presided over the state company Correos. Previously, between 2001 and 2003 he went to the private sector, occupying the presidency of I want television and the vice presidency of the Auna Foundation.
Deputy to Congress by Zamora, Calvo-Sotelo is a road engineer, MBA in Business Management for INSEAD, and has also worked as a professor at UCLA.
