New AEQ Phoenix PC: professional audio encoder application over IP
AEQ expands the AEQ Phoenix family with its Phoenix PC application that converts any PC with a Windows operating system into a high-quality audio codec.
AEQ has traditionally been a reference within the audio encoder market for the most different communication platforms, highlighting in its history of more than 30 years of experience emblematic units in the sector such as AEQ EAGLE for ISDN networks, AEQ TH02 for telephone lines or AEQ BC2000D for synchronous networks E1/T1/J1, and more recently the AEQ Phoenix family of equipment for IP networks.
To date, the AEQ Phoenix family included units for reporters and stationary units (Phoenix Mobile and Studio respectively), although in 2012 AEQ expanded the family of solutions by presenting its new AEQ Phoenix PC application as a high-quality, low-cost solution, specifically designed to work on a standard PC.
AEQ Phoenix PC is an application that converts your PC with Windows operating system into a high-quality audio codec (MP2, AAC, G711, G722, between 64 and 384 kbps) that connects bidirectionally via RTP over UDP, direct SIP or SIP Proxy with other professional IP audiocodecs, allowing your reporters to transmit their reports and interviews and your collaborators to intervene live in your programs, in radio quality, with their own personal computer as the only technical equipment.
To do this, a connection is established with your Phoenix Studio, Phoenix Mobile or other Internet-connected family unit through the SIP server services that AEQ traditionally provides free of charge.
AEQ Phoenix PC also allows you to record while sending live audio and play pre-recorded material while sending live audio.
