Editshare announces the availability of the new version of its Ark system
The new version features numerous improvements including a new user interface that displays comprehensive system status information and maximizes performance through the EditShare tiered storage platform.
Editshare, specializing in end-to-end media and shared storage solutions in tapeless environments, announced this Thursday the availability of a new version of its EditShare Ark backup and archive system.
The new version features numerous improvements including a new user interface that displays comprehensive system status information and support for tape loaders, plus more options to configure network interfaces and maximize performance through the EditShare tiered storage platform.
Andy Liebman, founder and CEO of EditShare, highlighted that "backup and archiving are critical in all types of production. News, sports, film and TV series, advertising or corporate production... need to protect their assets, but accessibility is just as important. Because Ark integrates directly into end-to-end workflows with other solutions in a tapeless environment, archived content can be easily searched with advanced media management tools, retrieved and returned directly to production storage. The new interface “It also provides real-time updates on file performance and continuous monitoring of system status. EditShare Ark ensures both security and media accessibility.”
EditShare Ark V2.1.3.2 incorporates Quantum Superloader 3, Scalar i40 and i80, Spectra Logic Spectra T50e and PowerVault 124T Tape Autoloader solutions to support tape-based libraries.
This update is free for EditShare Ark V2 customers with a current maintenance contract.
