XStream, Energy and Metro shared storage systems provide Avid editors with high performance and a collaborative end-to-end tapeless production workflow.

Editshare has announced that its shared storage solutions XStream, Energy and Metro now provide complete compatibility with the new 64-Bit systems of Avid, Media Composer and Symphony v6.0, as well as NewsCutter v10.0.

Andy Liebman, founder and CEO of Editshare, said that "with the 64-Bit upgrade of Avid systems last November, we had to modify our bin-locking and media sharing to be compatible with the new Avid software. This way, Editshare clients on Mac and Windows can count on the same project robustness and media sharing options that we have always been accustomed to in the 32-Bit versions of Avid. Every aspect of “Editshare tapeless workflow technology is now fully compatible with the latest Avid software. Customers can use our multi-channel ingest, network storage, media management, backup and archive with complete confidence that they will work seamlessly with almost any version of Avid non-linear editing.”

Upgrading to EditShare V6.1.3 is free for current version 6.x customers with a current maintenance contract.
