Ross Video presents its new line of BlackStorm servers
Blackstorm is designed for production and playback, being fully compatible with the most popular non-linear editing and graphics systems.
Ross Video has just announced the launch of its new line of BlackStorm video servers intended for file-based production and broadcast environments.
The new BlackStorm 102P playout server offers two channels in high definition housed in just one rack unit. Natively supports the popular .mov files as well as a wide selection of files.
With a configurable and intuitive client/server interface fully integrated into the Ross DashBoard control system, this new server is designed using Dell's renowned storage hardware.
Blackstorm is designed for production and playback, being fully compatible with the most popular non-linear editing and graphics systems such as Final Cut, Adobe Premier, Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects. Blackstorm supports playlists with built-in transition effects, and integrates seamlessly with Ross production mixers as well as other third-party equipment and controllers.
Todd Robinson, Product Marketing Manager for Video Servers at Ross, highlights this new line of Blackstorm products that "they are the next step in the evolution of Ross video servers. They feature a completely new design with state-of-the-art software architecture and the latest server IT hardware, providing a great product offering at a very competitive price."
Blackstorm is available for purchase, and has undergone beta testing in several live production environments. Blackstorm is also available as a studio pack with the Vision, Carbonite or CrossOver mixers and the Xpression graphics system.
