As multi-screen and multi-device television advances, it becomes more necessary to unify different forms of distribution, systems, back-office and user devices.

En IP&TV World Forum 2012, que tendrá lugar en Londres del 20 al 22 de marzo, Ericsson will demonstrate that it has unified solutions for the new broadcast and IP environments in both content distribution and services.

As multi-screen and multi-device television advances, it becomes more necessary to unify different forms of distribution, systems, back-office and user devices.

Staffan Pehrson, VP and director of television at Ericsson, highlighted that "traditional IP television has become multiscreen, but it is important to understand that to be successful, new multiscreen services will have to go far beyond distributing content on multiple devices. Consumers should adopt and integrate new forms of television consumption into their social and personal lifestyles. Our goal is to help any operator to combine free-to-air broadcasting with the power of the IP environment to reach more viewers with new forms of consumption, sharing and content discovery on more devices.”

Among the solutions that Ericson has for these new environments, Multiscreen TV stands out (a solution that allows you to enrich the television experience in linear TV, ob-demand and social interaction on various devices); Multi-platform Stream processor family (which combines hardware and software to meet the needs of a multi-screen offering); Media Delivery Network (designed for operators to accelerate the consumer experience by incorporating new value chains); Media Delivery Management System (the new generation of on-demand back office platforms to offer more content on demand on more devices); and WatchPoint (a Content Management System (CMS) for centralized and automated management).

We will be able to see all of these solutions in action at NAB 2012.
