Ericsson proposes solutions for the media sector to gain efficiency, quality and personalization of the user experience

As was evident in the Ericsson Innovation Roadshow held last night at the Swedish multinational's R&D center in Madrid, the company has numerous solutions aimed at making the most of traditional television environments and the connectivity provided by broadband.
Among these solutions, MediaFirst stands out, an open platform, based on standards and with agnostic architecture on the cloud, which brings together the best of traditional pay television and OTT services in the same user browsing experience on all devices. MediaFirst allows you to deploy a seamless multi-screen experience between the television screen and second screens.
A unified engine enables rapid deployment with seamless deployment capabilities for operators while enabling innovative viewing experiences for consumers. At the same time, robust analytics make it easier for the operator to understand consumer behavior in real time. This will enable significant operational and cost efficiencies for pay-TV operators, particularly in delivering a refined content offering based on user behavior to maximize transaction revenue through dynamic pricing models.
Users can create their own profiles or share user profiles with other household members, and receive personalized recommendations and content feeds based on user data, including viewing content history and trends. Through personal device recognition, the TV recognizes the viewers' device and dynamically personalizes the experience.
Content delivery
On the other hand, regarding content discovery, Ericsson offers a service capable of generating metadata in up to 31 languages, streamlining the indexing and cataloging of large production volumes.
Finally, note that new habits in content consumption require a response from broadcasters and operators with services such as cloud PVR, catch up, content copy...
Ericsson's Video and Storage Processing platform (VSPP) delivers powerful recording, storage, encryption and distribution power on any device, at any time of day.
