Adobe launches a toolkit for design, video and web professionals

The powerful new versions of fourteen CS6 applications and four suite editions represent Adobe's commitment to innovation across different markets, channels and media.

Subscribing to Adobe Creative Cloud will provide users with the ability to download and install all announced Adobe CS6 applications. Creative Cloud also integrates Adobe Touch Apps into everyday work, introduces cloud-based synchronization and storage capabilities, and enables the publishing of high-impact apps and web experiences.

Major CS updates and the all-new Muse app anchor the flagship release for designers.

Performance and workflow improvements in Adobe Photoshop CS6, InDesign CS6, and Illustrator CS6 will result in significant time savings across print, web, and mobile projects.

Production Premium CS6

The tools included in Adobe Creative 6 Production Premium, redesigned for video editors and with significant performance improvements, set a new standard in professional video.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, with dozens of new features, is the center of any professional video workflow, offering a sleek new editing environment. The powerful Adobe Mercury Playback Engine now supports OpenCL on MacBook Pro laptops.

The new version is faster and more responsive than ever. With the Global Performance Cache, previews are saved and ready, reducing the time spent going from one project to another.

New applications in Production Premium include Adobe Prelude CS6, which optimizes recording and transfer workflows in post-production; and Adobe SpeedGrade which contains powerful finishing tools for color grading and film finishing.

On the other hand, Adobe Audition CS6 accelerates audio post-production by allowing real-time clip stretching, simplifying stretching to fit an edit; and Automatic Speech Alignment introduces a powerful new engine for automated dialogue analysis.

Finally, Adobe Mercury Transmit, a new third-party API for hardware integration, allows direct connection of the broadcast video monitor to the Mercury Playback Engine via third-party cards from AJA, Blackmagic Design and Matrox.
