This unified driver will be present across Matrox's entire line of H.264 encoding and I/O products.
Matrox has announced the immediate availability of a unified Mac driver to provide support for the latest editing solutions from Adobe, Apple, Avid for the Matrox MXO2 and MXO2 Matrox MAX input/output device products and the Matrox Mojito MAX I/O card.
Key features of the release include support for audio punch-in using Avid editing applications, as well as support for recording voice-overs using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Wayne Andrews, product manager at Matrox, said: "Matrox customers have told us they wanted the flexibility to use a variety of video production software from different vendors with their H.264 input/output encoding hardware. This release demonstrates our commitment to giving users the support they need to get the most out of their creation tools, whatever their choice."
The new version 3.3 of the Mac software, with support for Mac OS Montain Lion 10.8.2 and Lion 10.7.5, is now available for registered users with a free download from the Matrox site.
