Glookast solutions integrate their API with EditShare, Spectra Logic and Adobe, in addition to Avid
Guilherme Silva, CEO of Glookast, analyzes in this video interview the latest news presented at IBC, his new project at Globo TV and its expansion in Europe, with offices in Porto, Copenhagen and Oslo.
IBC 2019 It was very special for Glookast since in addition to celebrating its tenth anniversary, the company made public an important multi-year contract with the Brazilian giant Balloon Tv that includes a platform next-generation ingestion and transcoding for both feed ingestion and file ingestion, powered by Gloobox Capturer and Media Producer, as well as a distributed media management system that will allow for a multitude of workflows and the integration of multiple sites on the network.
The scale of the project and the operational efficiency it is bringing to Globo's News Production Center stands out for the local and remote ingestion of more than 100 simultaneous files and up to 40 simultaneous sources that can be monitored and controlled by more than 300 journalists and editors simultaneously.
According to Guilherme Silva, CEO of Glookast, "the first phase of the project has already been launched. At this moment we are already working on the next phase of the project, which is expected to be ready during the first quarter of 2020."
Unique integrations
Traditionally Glookast solutions have been Avid-centric. In this IBC, he showed Unique API-based integrations with third-party products such as EditShare QScan, EditShare Flow, Black Pearl by Spectra Logic and Adobe Premiere. Each of these integrations is available for all Glookast product lines: Baseband-Feed Ingest (Capturer), File Transcoding and Ingest (Media Producer), and Workflow Optimization (Media Services).
New API integrations include Avid CloudUX with plug-ins for all products; EditShare QScan for automated quality control of received and encoded files; EditShare Flow for baseband and file ingestion; Spectra Black Pearl for production and archiving workflows with parking, partial restoration and compliance; and Adobe Premiere for multi-resolution editing workflows.
The list of new Glookast products and features at IBC 2019 was long: from new versions of the three Glookast product lines, to supporting new protocols and formats and finally resolving critical workflow issues by expanding your integration with Avid, EditShare, Spectra and Adobee.
In Amsterdam we were able to see the latest versions of Capturer (3.5), Scheduler (2.0), Media Producer (2.5) and Media Services (3.0) in action. On the other hand, in all product lines, Glookast supports NDI, 12G (inputs and outputs) and are compatible with IP 2110 and the SRT protocol.
