Fujifilm will show its latest optical proposals at Cine Gear Expo
Fujifilm will exhibit its latest lens offerings at the Cine Gear Expo, which will take place at Paramount Studios in Hollywood from June 1 to 3.
The company will showcase the Premier Series of PL-mount zooms, which includes the compact 19-90 Cabrio lens, as well as a variety of HD lenses, accessories for studio and field production, as well as the wireless control system for remote lens control.
The Cabrio 19-90 PL (ZK4.7×19) features a unique removable servo drive unit, making it suitable for use as a standard PL lens or as an ENG type lens. The ZK4.7×19 also has focal length adjustment, macro function, and is compatible with LDS (Lens Data System) and i-metadata. With a focal range of 19-90mm and weighing 2.7kg including servomotors, this lens has the largest focal range available in a very light zoom.
Of note, LDS and i-metadata support is very useful when you want to record zoom, f-stop, and focus position information for computer animation and other tracking-related uses, for example.
At Cine Gear Expo we will see this lens together with the Sony F3 camera.
The Premier family of PL mount lenses are available in 14.5-45mm T2.0, 18-85mm T2.0, 24-180mm T2.6, and 75-400mm T2.8-T3.8.
