At Evolving Connectivity 2012, Televés offers solutions for managing the technical implications that the upcoming coexistence of digital radio-television signals and mobile broadband services (LTE) will have.

At one of the main events in the British market, the Evolving Connectivity 2012 fair, held in London on May 2 and 3, Televes has positioned itself at the forefront of the development of solutions for the management of the technical implications that the upcoming coexistence of digital radio-television signals and mobile broadband services (LTE) will have. This coexistence in the radio spectrum of both types of services is what is known as digital dividend, and is being one of the hottest topics of debate in the sector in Europe.

Anticipating the competition, and demonstrating its status as a market leader, Televés has developed a set of solutions to help professional installers resolve possible technical incidents that may arise in the process of releasing the digital dividend, guaranteeing optimal reception of digital television signals. Some of these solutions, labeled with the LTE Ready seal, registered by the company, were presented at the London event. It is a complete range of filters, adapted to different cut-off frequencies, as well as a revised range of amplification and distribution equipment. The new Innova BOSS antenna was also presented, designed specifically for indoor use and incorporating Televés intelligent signal adjustment technology.

Evaluating the impact that LTE emissions will have on digital television transmissions was one of the main topics of discussion at Evolving Connectivity. Representatives from the BBC, British public radio-television, and OFCOM, regulator of the telecommunications market, participated in the discussions.

Tools for professionals

Along with the products developed specifically for the digital dividend, Televés presented at the London event its new portable field meter, the H60, which incorporates a more powerful version of the digital processing technology, patented by the company. Due to its improved performance, this equipment is also destined to be a key tool for professionals in the necessary adaptation of reception facilities to future LTE emissions.

Other Televés equipment that shone at the Evolving Connectivity exhibition were the solutions for the distribution of television signals through the Internet protocol (IPTV) and the T.0X distribution headends. Due to their versatility, their ability to integrate services and their energy efficiency, these headers are having an excellent reception in the different markets in which they have been presented.
