Larry King premieres on IPTV
King's new Internet talk show, announced at the beginning of the year, premiered this week on Hulu and Ora.Tv's IPTV.
Few would have imagined just a few years ago that one of the great stars of American television would premiere his new program, not on one of the giant networks, but on IPTV.
And host Larry King's new show premiered this week on IPTV on Hulu and Ora.Tv.
Larry King Now has premiered with an interview with Seth MacFarlane, creator of the series Family Guy. He will be followed by Meghan McCain and Matthew McConaughey in the next installments.
Larry King's new talk show is part of the gradual expansion of the lineup of on-demand shows at Hulu, which was conceived five years ago as a mere site with repeat TV shows.
Recently, its programming has expanded with original comedies and dramas, although the repetition of television programs remains its main business.
Now, with Larry King Now, the veteran journalist will have his own space four days a week, from Monday to Thursday.
Larry King Now It is part of a broad distribution agreement with Ora.Tv, an IPTV network financed by Mexican businessman Carlos Slim and in which King himself participates.
The agreement with Hulu, one of the video streaming sites with the most traffic on the Internet, is a recognition that the new online networks will initially require external help to reach viewers. “This is the first of new shows to be launched on Hulu as a result of its deal with Ora.Tv.
