The Brazilian agency gains more agility and efficiency by investing in a solution for the cataloging and management of all its content and workflow in the production area.

WMcCann, one of the main advertising agencies in Brazil, has one of the largest advertising production archives in the country, stored mostly on Betacam tapes.

Now, a project has just started focused on the digitization and preservation of this archive so that in the future it will be available to the public and to the agency itself more quickly.

In addition to that, attentive to the digital movement of new media and multiplatforms for content delivery, the agency has also prepared the system for the management of these new media.

To optimize the workflow, the cataloging of all the material and the integration with the editing islands will be carried out.

The solution that the integrator AD Digital has provided has been to integrate the system of non-linear editing islands based on MacPro with Final Cut Server, in a way that allows control of all digitized content, with the implementation and configuration of Building4Media's Fork software as a content management solution (MAM).

It is noteworthy that this integration has been carried out in a virtualized server structure offered by WMcCann IT, and led by AD Digital.

Rodrigo Fernandes, IT infrastructure manager at WMcCann, commented that “the implementation of B4M prepared WMcCann for digital media. Today all digital production is stored in our data center in reliable and scalable storage in an organized manner with mechanisms that facilitate search with customized metadata. This scheme allows us to maintain all digital production with security, backup and accessible to everyone.”

"Fork is one of the most innovative solutions for audio and video content management and is part of the portfolio of Building4Media, a company that is part of the American group PrimeStream, specialized in technological solutions for the media, entertainment and content production markets with clients spread around the world. Its SAN topology and based on the Quantum Stornext File System enables integration between Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems, leaving an open platform to be able to move data to any filing system in the future,” concludes Daniela Souza, CEO of AD Digital.
