TSL Professional Products will launch its PAM PiCo audio and ooudness meter at IBC 2012. The latest addition to the family of precision audio monitoring (PAM) systems is a well-equipped stand-alone meter that includes the revolutionary StarFish surround sound display.

This equipment offers high quality measurement for any professional involved in sound production, operators working in broadcast production or technicians in music studios and record production companies.

Based on proprietary hardware, the PAM PiCo is self-sufficient and does not depend on a third-party electronic platform, requiring only an electrical connection and the source to be measured to operate.

Designed for use in any position where rapid audio measurement is needed, this equipment is available in three formats:

• PiCo Uno: Stereo Master Meter, with 2 AES inputs (4 x audio channels), an analog pair and USB power.
• PiCo Two: 5.1 Surround Master Meter, 3 AES inputs (6 audio channels), one analog pair and USB power.
• PiCo Three: 5.1 Surround Master Meter, with 3G HD-SDI input (automatic detection with loop-through), 16 audio channel de-embedder (simultaneous display of any of the eight channels) and USB power.

The PAM PiCo is supplied with its own desktop stand and interface cable, making it very easy to install and use. The PiCo version 3 accepts SDI video with up to 16 channels, digital and analog audio. All models include ITU, EBU, ATSC and ARIB loudness measurement as standard.
