Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company, will host a series of mini-workshops at IBC2012 to educate and encourage the next generation of filmmakers.

The nine mini-workshops will be led by independent film experts Philip Bloom, Sebastian Wiegartner and Nino Leitner, and will offer a wealth of advice and experience on the latest industry techniques and technology.
Cinematographer Sebastian Wiegartner, one of Europe's leading DSLR video experts, will lead the first session focusing on pre-production elements of locations and choosing the right equipment for filming.
Austrian director Nino Leitner will lead two workshops. The first, aimed at young aspiring cinematographers and screenwriters, will look at different approaches to narrative cinema, while the second session will focus more generally on looking at the basic equipment needed for shooting with DSLR.
Finally, Philip Bloom will lead six workshops with three key topics: the pros and cons of large sensor cameras, the relevance of DSLRs in the film market, and how to polish and perfect interview techniques. The BAFTA nominee, and an expert in DSLR cameras, will use his extensive experience to advise and guide all attendees of the mini workshops.
In addition to these mini-workshops, Vitec Videocom is one of the main sponsors at IBC of the Rising Stars program.
The mini-workshops will take place at the Vitec Videocom stand 11.E55. Record here.
