Pixtron surprises IBC with a practical rotating menu of settings on its monitors
The new family of professional Full HD monitors, available in rack, “stand alone” and Multiview, are surprising with a very intuitive menu accessible from a button in the purest “radio dial” style.
With multi-format support, since they accept SD/HD/3G, CVBS and DVI signals (as standard without the need to increase costs with options) and excellent image quality, Pixtron Broadcast is presenting its latest proposals in terms of high-level monitors at IBC 2012. With technology developed by Albiral, one of the aspects that is attracting the most attention in these monitors is the quick and accessible adjustment of the different functionalities through an intuitive menu. Simply rotate the settings button to directly access the help settings for 3D, Zebra, Histogram, Mask, Audio Bars, Dynamic UMD, Tally. All this, without getting lost in cumbersome drop-down menus and even being able to directly access a group of functions using the button panel and then scroll with the manual rotor in the purest “dial on radio” style.
The rack monitors are manufactured with the most advanced TFT panels in a compact cabinet with an adjustable system and are available in single (17", double (7 and 9") and triple (5.6") versions. They have multi-format inputs and HDSDI 3G and CVBS outputs through active loop, as well as outputs for analog and digital AES/EBU audio. They come equipped as standard with temperature adjustments and color correction, security area markers, DUMD, Tally (via network, serial or GPI), Time code (LTC and VITC), Gamma adjustment, color selection, zebra, histogram and peaking. They are remotely controllable via RS-422 and Ethernet and can optionally integrate vectorscope and oscilloscope. They also have UBS to allow future software updates.
The range of “stand alone” products includes sizes from 17” to 55”, always with native Full HD resolutions. Also equipped with SCM technology, they ensure fast and precise control of the different functions. Its robust and compact design provides great durability in 24/24 conditions. The entire range has a desktop base and wall anchor support as accessories.
The family of monitors with internal Multivew is available from 17 to 37” and with a different number of inputs, depending on the size (from 4 to a maximum of 16).
This family of products combines the advantages of professional broadcast monitors with those of multiview equipment, in a single, compact solution, which provides minimal delay and optimizes space.
