Harris and RRTV organize a Technical Seminar on Digital Television
Harris Broadcast Communications and RRTV have organized a Technical Seminar on Digital Television this week at the Meliá Hotel in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).
On September 12 and 13, they attended this event, on behalf of Harris, the Regional Sales Manager Juanchy Mejía, and the speakers Carlos Lira and Eutdel García, both Pre-Sales Engineers; and on behalf of RRTV were Héctor Cambero, director; Elisa Arias, Elianne Plourde, and Cecilia López, from the sales and customer service team that serves the Caribbean from Santo Domingo.
The first day, aimed at the main television and technical channels in the industry, two sessions were offered, both with large attendance. In the morning, Eutdel García presented solutions related to television and radio studios, addressing issues such as processing, enturating, storage, Multiviewers, Master Control, graphics, ditors, instrumentation and measurement, Loudness and Quality control.
In the afternoon, Carlos Lira presented television and radio transmission formats analyzing the ATSC, ATSC MH, and ATSC 2.0 and 3.0 standards, supported by Harris' line of ULX and UAX transmitters.
El segundo día, y con un público perteneciente al segmento de Telcos, Eutdel García destacó la plataforma de convergencia Selenio y de MAM (Invenio), en el marco de soluciones para procesamiento y transporte, y Networking para Telcos.
The support from clients was notable and they expressed having been very satisfied with the content of the conferences.
Héctor Cambero, Director de RRTV, comentó que “este tipo de evento es indicativo de nuestro compromiso con las Industrias de la Radiodifusión y Telecomunicaciones en la República Dominicana, por lo cual agradecemos al personal de Harris y a los participantes, cuya presencia hace el mismo tan importante”.
