The merger of Antena 3 and LaSexta will become effective from October 1

The Antena 3 group has decided to continue with the necessary procedures to complete the commercial execution of the absorption by Antena 3 of LaSexta, as well as for the full integration of their respective businesses and business structures.

The Board of Directors of Antena 3 has considered that the conditions established in the Agreement of the Council of Ministers, of August 24, relating to the merger between Antena 3 and LaSexta, are compatible with the content and economic meaning of the common merger project that was approved by the respective General Meetings of shareholders of both companies.

Consequently, the group has decided to continue with the necessary procedures to complete the commercial execution of the absorption by Antena 3 of LaSexta, as well as for the full integration of their respective businesses and business structures, expecting that as of October 1 the effective transfer of the business and the consequent takeover of control by Antena 3 will occur.

With the incorporation of LaSexta's television offering, the new Antena 3 Group adds to its presence in other markets (radio, advertising or film) a leading proposal in the television business: a total of eight channels (Antena 3, LaSexta, Neox, Nova, Nitro, Xplora, LaSexta3 Todo Cine and Gol TV, the latter on a rental basis).
