Hispasat carries out multimedia demonstrations of advanced services at MATELEC 2012
The operator shows the high performance that satellites offer for Full HD 3D television and the distribution of TV content on multiple devices.
The operator Hispasat once again attends the International Electrical and Electronic Material Exhibition (MATELEC) 2012 to present its latest developments in multimedia communications, as well as the main technological advances related to three-dimensional (3D) television.
During the four days of the fair, Hispasat shows professionals in the sector different solutions it is currently working on, R&D&i projects on new technologies and advanced quality services in which it actively participates. In this sense, the company will carry out a live 3D television demonstration of the JEDI project, which aims to bring this new system closer to the home.
At the Hispasat stand you can view the 3DTV JEDI channel, available free-to-air through the Hispasat 1E satellite, which is the first channel in the world with Full HD quality, compatible with the new DVB-3DTV Phase-2 standard.
In addition, visitors to the stand will also be able to attend the demonstration of the SATURNO project, which researches and develops equipment and optimized solutions for the distribution of advanced content in the home under the premises of total mobility, quality, flexibility and on multiple devices. In this way, SATURNO allows satellite TV content to be viewed on all home devices (television, tablets, smartphones, etc.) in a simple way for the user and without the need to deploy any additional infrastructure.
The operator will also participate in the 9th Congress of Telecommunications Installation and Integration Companies, which will be held on the 25th within the framework of the fair and organized by the Fenitel installer association. At this Congress, the company will debate the new changes facing the sector, related to the maintenance of facilities, as well as the advanced solutions it is developing to face the new technological landscape.
MATELEC, which is held every two years, brings together more than 30,000 professionals between October 23 and 26 in Madrid, and serves as a meeting point for companies to analyze the evolution of the sector and present their latest advances in the provision of communications services.
