This integration will be reflected in Crispin's NewsCat Media Asset Management system working alongside the OverDrive automated production control system and BlackStorm playout servers.

Ross Video has closed an agreement with Crispin Corporation in order to improve workflows in information environments.

The integration of solutions from both parties will open new possibilities that would not be possible to offer separately. This integration will be reflected in Crispin's NewsCat Media Asset Management system working alongside the OverDrive automated production control system and BlackStorm playout servers.

NewsCat allows editors, producers, and directors to easily submit content to Blackstorm servers using a copy. Thus, it is possible to create low-resolution proxies of the material after ingestion so that users can confirm that the video has been sent correctly and is correctly assigned to each news item, going on air as soon as it is finished.

Rodney Mood, Chief Operating Officer at Crispin Corporation, highlighted that "one of the primary goals of most news operations is to become fully digital. This requires sophisticated technology and tools to manage file-based workflows. The combination of Crispin and Ross technologies will enable end-to-end solutions in news environments."

Founded in 1997, Crispin is a Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based company specializing in automation, master control and asset management systems.

You have numerous systems installed in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America, including NBC, CBS Sports, Gannett, Scripps or Raycom.
