Viacom joins the list of clients that have opted for Brightcove in the last quarter such as All Nippon Air, Discovery Networks International, Exact Target, Nikon and Yves St. Laurent.

Brightcove's third quarter 2012 total revenue was $22.1 million, a 32% increase from $16.7 million in the third quarter of 2011.

Third quarter 2012 gross profit was $15.1 million, up from $11.4 million in third quarter 2011. Third quarter 2012 non-GAAP gross profit was $15.3 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 34% and a non-GAAP margin of 69%.

Jeremy Allaire, CEO and President of Brightcove, has admitted to being very pleased "with the strong results of our last quarter that, once again, exceed our revenue and profitability projections. After being a pioneer in the online video platforms market, Brightcove has continued to drive innovation with the expansion of its suite of cloud-based solutions, such as Video Cloud, App Cloud and Zencoder. We believe that we are in the early phases of a fundamental change in the way digital content is distributed and consumed. We see this as a market opportunity important, and Brightcove is focused on leveraging its first-to-market advantage into continued long-term leadership.”
