Yamaha and Steinberg launch Nuage, a powerful system that promises to redefine postproduction
Yamaha and Steinberg have joined their strength to launch at the Tokyo Interbee Fair an impressive system that promises to redefine audio postproduction by combining the powerful Yamaha controller with the new Steinberg Nuendo 6 software.
Yamaha and Steinberg They have given the bell at the Interbee Fair held these days in Japan when announcing Nuage. This impressive postproduction solution combines the powerful Yamaha controller with the new Nuendo 6 software of Steinberg.
Nuage components intercommunicate between them and up to three Daws, through Red Dante. It includes a low latency PCIE card for Mac and PC, with up to 128 simultaneous and bidirectional channels to 192khz, or 256 channels to 96khz.
The hardware is modular, it has these components:
- Nuage Fader contoling surfaces: Align with LCD displays giving visual continuity with the Nuendo mixed window.
- Nuage Master Control Unit: Includes what is necessary to edit with Nuendo and manage the sessions.
- Nuage Workspace Units: They can be used to integrate third -party hardware and custom options.
- Three Nuage I/O units: They provide analog inputs and outputs, 16 AES/EBU or eight digital and eight analog.
- PCIE DANTE ACCELERATOR: DA lower latency to the computer running Nuendo, as well as multichannel audio transfer capabilities, with redundancy.
Nick Cook, Marketing Director for Europe from Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, stressed that “Nuage offers the best combination of advanced DAW technology, with an intuitive interface design, flexibility and reliability. We believe it is a new mile Audio postproduction ”.
For his part, Andreas Stelling, director of Steinberg, has assured that “Nuage is the quintessence of software fusion and postproduction hardware, together without problems in a complete study environment. The Nuage and Nuendo 6 console represent the most sophisticated platform for the audio postproduction available today, we are delighted to offer new clients and existing ones achievement of higher levels of productivity and quality ”.
