Stereoscopy, protagonist on December 3, at Mistika #3Dday
Sgo celebrates #3Dday with a seminar in which guests from all over the world will talk about their stereoscopic experiences in high-level projects such as 'Prometheus', 'The Amazing Spiderman' or 'Asterix and Obelix: In His Majesty's Service'. The public will also be able to enjoy the latest stereoscopic trailer for 'The Hobbit'.
On December 3, starting at 3:15 p.m., the Madrid Film Academy will host an event that will change the perception of its attendees. Following a tradition started 17 years ago, Sgo celebrates #3Dday with a seminar in which guests from all over the world will talk about their stereoscopic experiences in high-level projects. Following this event, the usual 3D Party will be held in the Tempo Room.
The opening of the seminar will be led by the General Director of Red.es, Borja Adsuara, who commented that "it is an honor for us to participate in this event that shows how Spain stands out in the technology sector. Sgo, a small company from Madrid, has managed to have its Mistika post-production software used in the most important projects of the moment, thus demonstrating how it is possible to prosper based on talent, even in adverse conditions."
The stereoscopic trailer The Hobbit by Peter Jackson, about to be released worldwide, will serve, thanks to the collaboration of Warner Bros. Spain, to open your mouth in an afternoon full of content that will serve, without a doubt, to add a new perception of the third dimension in the audiovisual sector of our country. Miguel Ángel Doncel, CEO of Sgo, will give way with a brief intervention to the guests: Leo Vezzali, Sergio Ochoa and Francisco Ramos.
Leo Vezzali, visual effects supervisor, will share his experience on projects such as The Amazing Spiderman y Prometheus focusing on stereoscopic challenges, as well as his perspective on the controversial conversion of images from 2D to 3D. All this, accompanied by impressive 3D images.
For his part, Sergio Ochoa, stereoscopy supervisor, who has just arrived from Paris after doing post-production work on Asterix and Obelix: At the Service of His Majesty, will tell us about the production of a stereoscopic project. To top it off, Francisco Ramos, VFX stereographer at BSkyB will provide the perspective of the television sector. He will talk, among other topics, about Sky's business model and content production.
Miguel Ángel Doncel encourages those industry professionals to attend "who want to get closer to the third dimension in an afternoon full of really interesting and current content. Our guests will provide a vision of what the market is like in the United States and Europe, and will also shed light on the future of this new way of telling stories. Stereoscopy is here to stay, we must start producing quality content and take advantage of this opportunity that the industry is offering. At Sgo we want to provide all the necessary information so that professionals in this country are encouraged to lead more projects in this format.”
After the interventions, the sharing of opinions and the usual relaxation of the 3D Party will move to the Tempo Room starting at 7:00 p.m. Twice, HP, Next Limit Techonologies and Perro Verde Films also collaborate on #3Dday and is aimed at any professional who wants to enjoy a pleasant evening among colleagues in the industry.
