Hitachi cameras at the ATP Final Masters
Gearhouse Broadcast provided technical support and produced the signal, commissioned by Tennis Properties Limited (TPL), with a dozen HD-SK1200 cameras and Hitachi Supermotion SK-HD1500 cameras. Gearhouse will also use these cameras at the Australian Tennis Open in Melbourne.
Gearhouse Broadcast has exclusively used cameras Hitachi in the broadcast of the ATP Final Masters held a few days ago at the 02 Arena in London.
At the tournament, Gearhouse offered technical service and produced the signal on behalf of Tennis Properties Limited (TPL), manager of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000. For the occasion, a dozen HD-SK1200 cameras were deployed for 1080p/3G multi-format production as well as two channels with the new Hitachi SK-HD1500 SuperMotion.
Within their production system, which is provided as a Fly-away service, the role played by production cameras is massive. Hence Gearhouse's decision to make a capital investment in Hitachi's new cameras earlier this year marked a strategic milestone for the company.
Kevin Moorhouse, COO of Gearhouse, highlighted that "Hitachi cameras are versatile and reliable, highlighting excellent image quality. I am impressed by the signal-to-noise level of the cameras."
Gearhouse Broadcast will also use these cameras at the Australian Tennis Open in Melbourne next January. The company will offer a signal to Channel 7 and support for other broadcasters such as ESPN, The Tennis Channel and Tennis Australia.
In Melbourne, Gearhouse Broadcast will deploy fifty-five SK-HD1200 seven SK-HD 1500 HD Supermotion.
