Chellomedia is strongly committed to Latin America
Headquartered in Miami and offices in Buenos Aires, the Chello Latin America division will manage and distribute its pay TV channels, as well as business development through mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and investments.

Chello Latin America's portfolio is widely distributed in the region and includes three genres: films – MGM, MGMHD, Film and Arts, Europa Europa, and Canal (a); women and lifestyle – El Gourmet, Cosmopolitan TV, Casa Club TV and Ella and men – Reality TV and AM Sports. The combined existing portfolio is 124 million homes.
Headquartered in Miami and offices in Buenos Aires, Chello Latin America will manage and distribute its pay TV channels, as well as business development through mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and investments. Building on Liberty Global's successful track record as a programmer in the region, the new business unit will also benefit from the strength of Chellomedia's global businesses through the collaboration of Chello Multicanal (Spain and Portugal), Chello Central Europe, Chello Benelux and Chello Zone (UK and International).
Niall Curran, President of Chellomedia, has acknowledged that he is “very excited about the opportunities in Latin America and we hope to foster the very good relationships we currently have with our clients, advertisers and partners from whom we acquire original productions.”
"With our teams in Miami and Buenos Aires and with Alejandro's leadership we have extensive experience in the pay television markets in Latin America. And with the support of Liberty Global, Chellomedia hopes to fully play its role in the development of new services in the dynamic economies of the region. We look forward to working with our pay television partners who distribute our channels throughout Latin America and support their exciting growth and innovation," he added.
Mauricio Ramos, president of Liberty Global Latin America and Chello Latin America, highlighted that "we have always been committed to the region and I am proud to see Liberty Global's content division establish its operations here. Our objective is to achieve the development of alliances and new opportunities in the region."
