Monitoring streaming media networks from iPhone
At NAB 2013, Bridge Technologies will present PocketProbe, a system for monitoring digital media anywhere from an iPhone.
Bridge Technologies will premiere at NAB2013 a new application for iPhone that will allow objective and real-time analysis of the status of a media streaming network in a simple way, at a glance, and from anywhere.
Available now in the Apple Store, PocketProbe thus extends the capabilities of Bridge's hardware and software-based monitoring systems.
In fact, PocketProbe features the same OTT engine as Bridge's VB1, VB2 and 10G VB3 series media monitoring systems, enabling trust validation and variable bit rate analysis on the http stream from any location.
PocketProbe is available in two versions: the free application can validate five HLS streams in round-robin mode, provide pre-configured analysis and alarms, play averages across various bit-rate profiles, and graphically display current discharge patterns and bit-rates. The full version offers the possibility of validating HDS and SmoothStream files, as well as storing up to twenty-five streams with all profiles.
