Telestream launches Live Look: live and on-demand monitoring from Argus

Version 2.3 of Argus, the monitoring environment for Telestream, includes the new Live Look feature, designed to provide real-time playback of monitored transmissions.

Live Look ofrece real-time video playback and audio confirmation in the control panel Argus, allowing operators to see and hear exactly what viewers are experiencing and take measures to solve the problem without having to change tools or interface. Thanks to this development, users can instantly verify the deterioration alarms, evaluate their real impact, escalate with greater confidence and reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), while improving operational efficiency.

Live Look It directly addresses a need for large-scale visual confirmation solutions, an especially valuable alternative for organizations managing hundreds of linear or OTT channels in distributed operations. From verifying the presence of audio to confirming editorial intent when silence or anomalies are detected, Live Look provides a immediate vision “at a glance”. This, combined with the approach of “exception monitoring” from Telestream, allows operators to focus on addressing the true deviations instead of monitoring every feed, which often leads to cognitive overload and operational fatigue.

Beyond Live Look, Argus v2.3 offers several new features that streamline management, improve security and optimize monitoring performance. Among them, stands out the Improved user management with SSO enabled, which simplifies authentication with built-in support for third-party SSO/MFA; Automated import/export, which speeds up configuration updates and alarm template management by automating the API and UI, and enhanced audio PID monitoring, which enables precise control of alert generation for individual audio PIDs and introduces logical grouping by codec, language or function (primary/secondary) for smarter, more efficient monitoring.
