3D graphics in real time, and now in 4K, with Brainstorm Multimedia

Brainstorm está mostrando en Las Vegas un gran número de mejoras en su gama de productos, que hacen destacar a la compañía por su flexibilidad y agilidad de trabajo para gráficos 3D en tiempo real, incluso en las más altas resoluciones como el 4K.

Fruto de su estrecha colaboración con la japonesa For-A, pionera en entornos de producción a muy alta resolución, y a su siempre decidida apuesta por el I+D, Brainstorm Multimedia ha anunciado en NAB 2013 la posibilidad de trabajar en gráficos 3D en tiempo real y sets virtuales en resolución 4K y QuadHD para toda su gama de productos.

Brainstorm's core graphics engine, eStudio, adapts to this format and resolution to take full advantage of the latest advances in video I/O hardware.

Aparte de su empleo para televisión, los productos Brainstorm tradicionalmente se han utilizado para otros usos en tiempo real como presentaciones corporativas o pre-visualización de películas. Esto se logra mediante la aplicación del frame buffer de la tarjeta gráfica, que permite almacenar gráficos de mayor tamaño que los de la televisión en HD. El motor de render Brainstorm eStudio, considerada la solución de gráficos 3D más rápida de la industria del broadcast, ha destacado siempre por su potencia y flexibilidad junto a la capacidad de resolución 4K, dando en consecuencia gráficos 3D en tiempo real. Ahora con el soporte de la salida de video 4K, esta flexibilidad se ha mejorado para asegurar la compatibilidad con las últimas tecnologías y formatos, reforzando la visión de futuro de la empresa.

At NAB 2013 Brainstorm is running a 4K real-time 3D graphics demo with Brainstorm partner For-A, as the 4K real-time 3D content in its demo has been created in collaboration with Brainstorm software.

Brainstorm is showing in Las Vegas a large number of improvements to its range of products, which make the company stand out for its flexibility and agility of work for 3D graphics in real time.

EasySet 3D, the popular trackless virtual set creation solution, will be the product around which the main demonstrations will revolve. Its impressive capabilities include a new hardware controller, integrated chroma key, 2D titrator or multiple virtual cameras among others, making EasySet 3D the definitive, affordable and easy-to-use virtual set solution.
On the other hand, OnDemand, Brainstorm's playout platform, will demonstrate its full integration capacity with the rest of the Brainstorm product range, especially with EasySet 3D. OnDemand provides operators with a tool for creating and modifying schedules, allowing individualized editing of elements such as graphics, videos and animations, to launch them directly to broadcast.

EasySet 3D and Aston 3D will be presented on a chroma stage, at the same time that individual demos will be carried out in the rest of the specific stands for each of the Brainstorm products. Additionally, on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 9, Brainstorm will celebrate its “Latin Tuesday” in the booth, dedicated to its Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking clients and guests.

BrainNews 3.5

Brainstorm presents these days at NAB, BrainNews 3.5, the MOS-compatible software, based on templates for News graphics. BrainNews is a fully scalable system that integrates graphics for news environments. It allows journalists and producers to customize and combine high-quality graphics in their news workflows, without the constant intervention of the design department.

BrainNews 3.5 introduces new features to its entire system, from the engine to the application tools for journalists and specific applications for designers. BrainNews 3.5 is now compatible with the new range of Brainstorm products led by Aston 3D, and has a new template to facilitate the dynamics of graph creation that will improve the workflow giving better support in terms of timing. The management of the software itself has also been significantly renewed to minimize funnel or bottleneck effects. Additionally, BrainNews 3.5 offers greater third-party support, highlighting better integration with Avid iNews Command, in addition to recently certified integration with Harris and Octopus.
