wTVision offers an RFID system for the San Vicente Italian Poker Tournament

The wTVision team implemented Poker Stats CG to provide graphical coverage at the final of the Poker tournament in Saint Vincent, Italy.

PokerStars, the main sponsor of several live poker tournaments, such as the Italian Poker Tournament, (IPT) worked for the first time with wTVision, a global provider of real-time graphics. wTVision has the advantage of having international geographic coverage, thanks to the support of its offices located in different cities around the world.

The service that wTVision provides to PokerStars includes the development of the projects (integration of the Poker Stats CG with the RFID system), the implementation of the graphics of the European Poker Tournament and the live operation service during the tournament.

A wTVision operator uses Poker Stats CG to cover each action on the final table and provide immediate solutions at the time of action. The RFID system offers simple and flawless operation, since it recognizes the cards (which are identified with unique codes) and the graphics appear automatically. With this system the graphics operator is free to analyze game trends and detailed statistics as well as provide graphics of general interest such as scores, chip counts and an in-depth analysis of each player's performance. This tournament was broadcast live around the world.

Alex Fraser, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of wTVision, highlighted that "this seems to be the future of live poker events. It's much cheaper than using cameras for each player and it's 100% accurate with the cards."
