Prismon de Rohde & Schwarz ya ofrece control centralizado

Rohde & Schwarz Prismon añade la función Multiviewer Control Centre (MCC), solución que permite un único punto de control para una red de multipantallas.

This functionality allows users of Rohde & Schwarz centrally control your entire network of multiviewers, along with the associated decoders and encoders. The development has been carried out keeping in mind those studies and control rooms that “they change their personalities regularly", like those of news or those of live sports.

Prism is a multiscreen architecture software defined and compatible with signals UHD. The product has been specifically designed for IP studio production and broadcast systems. Among its features, the functionality stands out “scalable distributed multi-display”, which allows the connectivity of “any entry to any exit” through redes proxy IP. This will allow the tool Rohde & Schwarz share resources over a network, enabling users the ability to configure a view with multiple Ultra HD inputs.

In operation

The function MCC Prismon, an option for the system subject to an independent license, has already been implemented by “one of the largest European broadcast specialists.” Specifically, MCC will be used as part of a facility to help a “major” European network broadcast a multinational football competition in 2021.

Andreas Lodges, vice president of media technologies Rohde & Schwarz, considers MCC a natural evolution of Prismon given the feedback received by its users: "Prismon is already a popular choice for multiviewers in major installations, due to the flexibility and cost efficiency it brings. Following conversations with our users, it was clear that they were looking for the possibility of using that flexibility to allow installations to be reconfigured quickly, accurately and easily. MCC is a direct result of those conversations."
