Aimed at end consumers, “XAVC S” has also been introduced which uses an MP4 packaging format as an extension of XAVC. This expansion will encourage the development of 4K content in the consumer market.
Final consumers
Sony also ensures that the XAVC video recording format covers the professional and consumer markets. XAVC is presented as an open format aimed at promoting and consolidating 4K content production infrastructures.
