The new Makito X2 dual channel H.264 encoder from Haivision It provides 12 channels in 1080p60 high definition with an extremely low encoding latency of 55 milliseconds. And all this within a rack unit.

Thanks to AES and FEC encryption, the Makito X2 is ideal for business, educational, medical or broadcast monitoring applications. Combined with Haivision's IP Furnace video system, administrators have detailed control over video stream access and distribution. Together with the Makito decoder it produces a considerable low end-to-end latency of 70 milliseconds. Additionally, along with InStream multiviewer player technology, the Makito XS serves desktop, laptop and mobile platforms.

With four internal encoding cores, the Makito X2 can encode each input at up to 4 bitrates and different Multi Bit Rate (MBR) streaming profiles to optimize video distribution. In addition, each core can be directed to several destinations on the network (unicast, multicast, TS and RTMP) at the same time, to serve only desktop systems, mobile devices, set-top boxes, digital signage players, recorders and streaming servers.
