Haivision Announces New Makito X HEVC Encoder

Haivision has announced the immediate availability of its Makito

With low power consumption, small size, light weight and compact design, the system is designed to provide video backhaul and broadcast applications where bandwidth is limited.

With Makito X HEVC, Haivision offers two HEVC encoding mechanisms without reducing the quality and efficiency of the four mechanisms found in the Makito It has two 3G-SDI inputs, high definition video up to 1080p60, support for streaming in multiple bit rates, KLV metadata and advanced connectivity capabilities including traffic shaping to allow prioritization of data traffic in order to optimize the use of available bandwidth. The encoders also incorporate secure reliable transport (SRT) technology to provide a high level of encryption in transmission.

The Makito With the introduction of the new model, Haivision is offering upgrade options to allow customers to use the technology without impacting their HEVC H.264 workflows.
