The new MB6 chassis allows you to configure a combination of Makito and Barracuda encoders and decoders providing up to six 1080p60 HD channels in a simple rack unit. The H.264 video processor combined with a flexible layout with features such as MultiStreaming and HiLo-Streaming, meets the needs of disparate audiences, making the Makito an ideal platform for bedside and other environments.
HaiVision Network Video has announced the launch of the new high-density chassis for six MB6 slots for its line of Makito HD H.264 and Barracuda SD H.264 encoders and decoders. This new chassis offers the highest density available for 1080p60 H.264 encoding environments, housing up to six Makito encoders in a single rack unit.
Peter Maag, Senior Vice President of HaiVision Network Video, highlighted that "the Makito is by far the most compact HD H.264 designed with full 1080p60 performance and an incredible encoding rate of less than 55 milliseconds. The MB6 chassis provides the densest configuration option giving our customers maximum capabilities with our encoding and decoding products with the Makito/Barracuda family."
The H.264 video processor, combined with flexible distribution with features such as MultiStreaming and HiLo-Streaming, meets the needs of disparate audiences, making the Makito an ideal platform for headends, advanced communication systems, and centralized decoding for monitoring in other environments such as educational, medical or government. The MB6 chassis allows users to configure the best choice of Makito and Barracuda encoders, obtaining maximum functionality in minimum space. In addition to providing a high level of versatility, the chassis simplifies deployment in any environment, offering three power options: standard AC, medical-grade AC and DC (20-36 VDC).
