Telefónica renews its television offer with Movistar TV
Successor of Imagenio, Telefónica's new television offering renews its interface and content with a clear commitment to high definition.
From now on, Telefónica will offer all its customers Movistar TV, a new television offer with a more innovative and simple interface, and renewed content for PCs, TVs, smartphones and tablets, which will replace the Imagenio service.
The new interface has been designed with the aim of achieving a better user experience with a cleaner, faster and more intuitive menu. In fact, the speed of response of the service has been a key aspect that has been influenced in the development. Furthermore, in the new design the contents take on more prominence, so that the user's interaction with the service to watch the channels, rent movies, consult the channel programming, access the video store or configure the subtitles option, among other actions, is simpler and more intuitive.
In the birth of Movistar TV, co-design with real users who have tested all the developments has been very important. Their demands and suggestions have been incorporated into a process of interaction and continuous improvement that has led to the design that is now available to all clients.
In fact, before the launch, a pilot has been carried out in Castilla La Mancha and Castilla y León that has received a very positive response. 80% of users have rated the improvement as very relevant and almost half of them have stated that they would recommend the service.
The change to Movistar TV is totally transparent for the client who does not have to change anything, not even the configuration of their equipment.
Other news
In addition to the new interface and name, Movistar TV incorporates other new features that mark the guidelines on which it will work in the coming months. Specifically, in terms of content, GolT2 Internacional has been incorporated into its lineup so that it becomes the only payment platform that has the two European football competitions, the Champions League and the Europa League. Both channels will be included for free in the Family and Sports modalities next season.
On the other hand, Movistar TV continues with its determined commitment to high definition with new channels to add a total of 18 HD channels to its offer (including Canal+ Liga, Champions League, Eurosport, Fox, Viajar, National Geographic Wild, among others). These channels are offered completely free of charge for Movistar Fibra Óptica customers.
Another aspect that will evolve in the coming months is TV towards a multi-screen environment so that customers can enjoy it, in addition to their television, on a PC, tablet and smartphone, in addition to the digital video recorder.
