One of the best value live production systems now incorporates new high-end features.

Newtek TriCaster 40

NewTek has just launched the next generation of its Tricaster 40 full studio video production system that allows anyone to create professional streaming television on a small budget. Version 2 of TriCaster 40 offers educational, corporate and production environments independent access to resources common in large productions such as customizable animated transitions, titles and graphics... and now, with greater interoperability between media assets.

Andrew Cross, CTO at NewTek, said: "At NewTek we are constantly trying to help people with ideas for using video in new ways, so they can tell stories and make a big impact when we share them with the world. Our new generation Tricaster 40 gives users on limited budgets a new level of professional tools, which, if purchased separately, cost much more than the TriCaster 40 itself. This means that financial constraints do not impede storytelling. "Anyone can use TriCaster 40 to turn a live event into a video production to compete with a broadcaster's broadcast."

Among other improvements, Tricaster 40 now has the ability to create and customize transitions and effects, using the animation possibilities provided by Store Creator. In addition, the viewing experience has been improved with new video formats, recording options and different resolutions for content distribution on multiple platforms.
