Sony presents the new generation of Trimaster 4K HDR reference monitors
Trimaster technology delivers detailed grayscale and accurate color reproduction that matches 100% of the color gamut of the industry reference monitor, the BVM-HX310.
Sony will present a new set of high-end viewing monitors from the Trimaster series in BSC Expo on January 31 and February 1 in London. The 24'' and 18.4'' models They can be seen at stand 515 along with other emblematic Sony solutions.
The PVM-X2400 (24'') and PVM-X1800 (18.4'') monitors offer high image quality and accurate color reproduction thanks to specific Sony panels, which achieve ultra-high definition resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and impressive shine with a luminance of 1000 cd/m2.
For optimal cinematic productions, its wide color gamut matches that of the industry-leading reference monitor, the BVM-HX310 Trimaster HX. This means that both monitors offer a Accurate color reproduction and detailed gray scale, allowing filmmakers to have a reliable tool to help them make decisions and achieve excellent color adjustment during their work. With their compact size and great portability, these monitors are expected to serve to increase 4K HDR production in their different applications, such as filming monitoring, non-linear video editing, wall monitoring in the studio or rack monitoring for mobile units or machine rooms.
These monitors also have a new Black Detail high/medium/low setting which facilitates precision when reproducing colors by reducing the backlight brightness in three steps to correctly display colors and gradations in low luminance areas. Another novelty that it incorporates is the dynamic contrast unit, which changes the backlight luminance dynamically to suit each scene or frame when transferring images from the PVM-X2400/X1800 to other Sony OLED video monitors. This functionality allows filmmakers to check the light and shadow balance of content with light and dark scenes.
