NewTek presents the new version of LightWave 3D at Siggraph 2010, whose main novelties are the new versions of the Modeler and Layout with improved ergonomics and the latest generation CORE technologies, including improved production pipeline tools, support for Autodesk's geoCache format and viewports for anaglyph stereoscopy.

From July 27 to 29, Newtek will show the new version of LightWave 3D at Siggraph 2010. LightWave now features new versions of the Modeler and Layout with improved ergonomics and the latest generation CORE technologies, including improved production pipeline tools, support for Autodesk's geoCache format, viewports for anaglyph stereoscopy, interactive visualization and rendering tools, new UV mapping tools, notable advances in rigid body dynamics and new tools for gaming and real time.

At the Los Angeles event, Rob Powers, director of entertainment and media development at NewTek and a true 3D expert, will be at the Newtek stand. Powers participated in the making of the films Avatar by James Cameron and Tintin by Steven Spielberg. Those who come to the Newtek space will also be able to meet Andrew Clement, creator of the artificial organs in the film RepoMen who will comment on the use of LightWave for the design of the “artfogs”.

For his part, Ernest Chan, CG director for the Nickelodeon channel, will comment on the use of LightWave for cartoons SpongeBob, The Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron, Invader Zim and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
