Harris Broadcast Communications and TELSSA of the ITEL Central America Group, organized a Technical Seminar held on November 14 at the Real Intercontinental Hotel in Managua.

As part of the presentation of the new version of Selenium (the industry's first integrated media convergence platform), which includes new features for ISDB-Tb, and the launch of Versio, (Harris' new solution for simple, efficient and integrated Playout, which will help clients launch their channels more quickly or expand existing platforms), two sessions were offered that covered the following areas:

In the morning, and focused on the main television and technical channels in the industry, Carlos Lira presented the standards and structure of ISDB-Tb, and the portfolio of ULX, UAX, VLX and VAX transmitters from Harris.

In the afternoon, Eng. Eutdel García presented the solutions related to television studios, such as Processing, Routers, Servers, Multiviewers, Master Control, Graphics, Editors, Instrumentation and Measurement, Loudness Control, Quality Control and the new product Versio; and for the public belonging to the Telcos segment, Selenio and MAM (Invenio) stood out.

From Harris, the Regional Sales Manager, Juanchy Mejía, and the speakers Carlos Lira and Eutdel García, both Pre-Sales engineers, attended; and on behalf of TELSSA, there were José Raúl Gómez (general manager), José Luis Acebo (Special Projects Division Manager), Carlos Villagra (Infrastructure and Energy Division Manager) and José Luis Robelo (Special Projects Division Technical Coordinator).

The support from clients was notable and they expressed having been very satisfied with the content of the conferences.

Juanchy Mejía, Harris Regional Sales Manager, highlighted that "the Central American region is very important for Harris, we have a strong and solid presence thanks to the intense work we have been doing for years with our clients. Nicaragua presents a great challenge with the adaptation of the ISDB-T format and Harris is working hard to guide them and provide them with support, advice and seminars like this so that they feel more confident in their commercial and technical decisions on this new path towards digitalization."

For his part, José Raúl Gómez Ruiz, assured that "the introduction of digital television in Nicaragua is a very positive step for the technological evolution of the country, we feel very proud to participate and support this purpose. Our company TELSSA has promoted this initiative from the beginning, integrating solutions and services with our clients, who are pioneers in the development of this industry and deserve all our respect and admiration."
