Movistar launches its new digital satellite television service in Nicaragua

Nicaragua is the first country in Central America where Movistar presents the service, being one of the main video service operators in Latin America.

Movistar has presented its new service Movistar Tv HD, the new digital television with coverage throughout Nicaragua, which includes an extensive programming of channels in High Definition.

Movistar's new digital television service offers a new interactive programming guide that ensures a complete and better experience in image and sound, allowing the customer to activate reminders of the best programming, configure a list of favorite channels, block channels for parental control and configure the universal remote control with their television.

With Movistar Tv HD, Nicaraguans will be able to enjoy the best digital television anywhere in Nicaragua, thanks to satellite coverage that allows them to reach the entire country. At the time of installation, the client will receive a TV kit consisting mainly of a satellite signal reception antenna and a decoder to enjoy the best programming.

The platform will offer 54 channels in standard definition and 15 in high definition in its basic package. As a second option, the Full HD Plan will offer 84 channels, including 10 Premium HD movie channels from the HBO Max and Fox+ Packages, in addition to all the channels in the Pro HD Plan.

Additionally, the customer will have the option of purchasing a Smart HD terminal which connects to the Internet from any device to enjoy Movistar Play, which has an on-demand catalog of movies, documentaries and premieres on their Movistar HD TV.

Likewise, the customer will have the option of Movistar Tv HD in prepaid mode and recharge their service with the new TvPacks that can be activated at any recharge point of sale nationwide.
