Polycom announced this Tuesday within the framework of InfoComm 2011 the launch of the new version of the software for Polycom UC Intelligent Core.
This new version incorporates significant improvements that allow customers to deploy a greater number of devices as well as connect through any type of device, standard or network, with great ease. In this way, they can enjoy an unsurpassed quality experience and, at the same time, reduce costs.
With more than five times greater scalability than competing UC solutions, the new version of UC Intelligent Core software allows you to enjoy a capacity typical of telecommunications operators that reaches up to 75,000 devices. This allows large enterprises and service providers to manage the increasing volume of new unified communications devices (from mobile devices to room telepresence solutions) that continue to grow exponentially. In addition, protection against failures is 100% guaranteed thanks to intelligent load compensation and automatic failure recovery, which in turn helps CUs offer the same degree of reliability and availability as other key business communication solutions, such as voice or data.
OTX 100
InfoComm has also been the place chosen by Polycom to present its new product in the OTX series, the Polycom OTX 100 immersive telepresence solution. A smaller and cheaper solution designed for smaller meeting rooms and offices and which, among other features, requires 50% less bandwidth than other solutions, which significantly reduces the cost of ownership, as well as the demand to adapt to unified communications collaboration environments such as Miscrosoft Lync within the strategy. Polycom Open Collaboration Network (POCN).
