At a time when broadcasters are embracing remote work, Tedial continues to deliver sophisticated tools that provide efficient workflows for media companies around the world.

Tedial has announced a new version of its programming UI Capture Manager. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, media companies around the world have turned to remote production tools that allow operators to control ingestion at any time and from anywhere. Evolution MAM from Tedial will now include a new version of its Capture Manager based on HTML5, which provides an agnostic core interface for control and monitor devices, as well as advanced ingest features.

The latest version of Tedial Capture Manager includes two tools: the first is for intake list. The new proposal creates ingest placeholders before an event is logged. It allows the production team to be more efficient by creating scheduling information using metadata before the event, before the team knows which router will register the event. Once the router input is defined, the system automatically assigns the physical ingest channel. This highly efficient workflow reduces the time spent managing the ingestion process and gives greater visibility into what comes next.

The second tool, orchestrate the programming using a timeline view, per ingest channel and provides dynamic mapping of ingest channels. It is agnostic to third parties and more importantly, to video servers. Servers from different manufacturers can be managed together from the same tool, while allowing customers to leverage their investments. It also allows connection to traffic systems such as Provys or Mediagenix.

Thanks to the Tedial API, operators can manage an end-to-end ingestion workflow. The program schedule is created in the traffic system, which assigns a placeholder in the ingest list. Tedial's Capture Manager tools automatically control the router and dynamically switch the input at the time of recording. The combination of ingest list and ingest scheduling features provides greater production efficiency.

Other key features are the integration and interoperability. Tedial Capture Manager integrates perfectly with most video servers and routers on the market, and in combination with the rest of Tedial's tools it can also integrate with external scheduling/traffic systems.

Emilio L. Zapata, CEO of Tedial points out that "the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift to remote work around the world. Our goal is to ensure that broadcasters and content owners have automated and efficient end-to-end workflows that provide a centralized user interface to control and monitor devices, significantly improving ingest time management and programming visibility."
