Is Marca TV closing?

Unidad Editorial is given until the end of the month to resolve the delicate situation of the channel or close it and rent the license.

Next July 31 could be the last day of broadcast for Marca Tv since Unidad Editorial could choose to rent the license. In this way, you would get a fixed income as an alternative to operating the sports channel whose business model is not taking off.

According to The Digital Confidential, only a last-minute decision would save the channel from closure. At this moment, according to sources consulted by El Confidencial, the directors of Unidad Editorial are negotiating with those responsible for Mediapro to find an urgent solution, which would only involve Jaume Roures' company assuming a large part of the channel's costs.

The final decision will be transmitted to Marca TV workers in the coming days. At the moment, employees have not received any communication from the management of Unidad Editorial.
